Smoking of commonly smoked materials including various Aromatherapeutic Botanicals, Herbs and Herbal alternative blends poses hazards to respiratory health, such as increased risks of bronchitis, lung infection, and lung, throat and neck cancers. Roots of the SVT
The development of the Superior Vaporization Technique was the germination of a shared desire by a core group of Northern California thinkers to find a better way to enable vaporization than conventionally had been available; most importantly, a way that stood a chance at popular adoption by current smokers and conventional Aromatherapists. The preliminary results were impressive. A means by which to vaporize in the bowl on most water pipes and many regular pipes that worked very well was developed utilizing a modified industrial heat gun with a thermocouple and ceramic encapsulated element as a heat source. At this point one of the group members felt there was a moral and ethical obligation to share the knowledge with others and made informational manuals available over ebay starting in October of 1998. The manuals were purchased by individuals all over the world and the SVT was met with high regard. The feedback gained from this international audience as well as the desire to make the SVT even more user-friendly led to the development of the Vaporization Chamber Bowl or VCB in mid-1999 and, more recently, the Vaporization Heat Wand or VHW in 2009.
Once the early adoptees started sharing the knowledge, the technique became popularly adopted within the inner circles of may highly educated individuals in the Northern California and Silicon Valley area and beyond with such enthusiasm that many refuse to enjoy their herbal materials of choice in any other manner. Slowly, but surely the number of SVT converts has grown from tens to hundreds to thousands with the help of the Internet and word of mouth and continues to grow by the day.
